The bit about me
My name is Iain D Russell and I'm a cartoonist. I live in a village in my native Scotland with my beautiful wife and two dogs, and I’ve had a long and varied career that includes living and working in Madrid for nearly 10 years (hace mucho tiempo). After a lifetime of 'doing' cartoons, I've realised that I am, indeed, a cartoonist, and I’m now producing more regular work and living the dream - in terms of secure work and financial stability, it happens to be a very unsettling dream, but a dream nonetheless.
The bit about my e-newsletter
The idRussell Cartoons newsletter is a great way to share my new work and have some fun. It’s a space to experiment with ideas, drawing styles, and media, especially as I adapt to the world of digital art, and it’s a platform to share my humour and perspectives. I’m also developing new comic work and other themes and invite you to follow that process - it might get weird, but I hope you enjoy. The weekly schedule is a self-imposed stressor that I must talk to my therapist about. Why not join me on the ride?

Show some love. Support your friendly cartoonist! Cartooning really is a labour of love these days, as the possibility of earning a living shrinks faster than the polar ice caps. Traditional publishers such as newspapers are dying off and artificial intelligence is doing its best to make us obsolete. A subscription is a great way to keep it real, show support, and stick it to the man (or robot).
