Hi, this is my weekly cartoon newsletter. If you haven’t already, why not subscribe and have it emailed to your inbox every Friday - it’s free!
It’s been a weird few weeks.
I won’t bore you with the details, but a lot has happened in the past few weeks that has occupied my time or preoccupied my mind. As a consequence, I’ve not been producing my weekly cartoons other than the Augbot & I strip.
I’m treating it as a short summer break, and I should be back at the drawing board next week.
Talking about summer, I was on a FaceTime call this week with a friend in Madrid. It’s 40°C and sunny there 🔥, compared to (feels like) 40°F and wet here💧. Hope you all have a great summer wherever you are.
NOTE: I have a Bluesky invite code to give away this week. See last week’s newsletter, for more info. If you’re interested, let me know as soon as possible, as it will go very quickly. I should receive another to give away in the next week or two.
It’s early days, but I’ve had some interesting responses to my fledgling Augbot & I strip, ranging from extremely positive to “eh, I don’t get it”, or “it’s a bit weird”. What do you think? Let me know in the comments below!
Thanks for reading and subscribing!
As always, it’s great to receive some feedback on my newsletter. If you’re enjoying these weekly emails, let me know by liking or leaving a comment.
Cartoonists are having a hard time right now, as traditional means of publishing are disappearing, and artificial intelligence is vying to make artists obsolete.
Substack newsletters are a new way for cartoonists, writers, and other creatives to reach and interact with an audience directly.
Sharing my newsletter with others and encouraging them to subscribe is a great way to show support and help sustain my work. As an existing subscriber, please consider using the share button below, or forwarding my email! Many 🙏 thanks!
Hasta pronto,
Iain
Morning Iain, I always enjoy reading your newsletter and I often get a chuckle from your cartoons. I like the Augbot strip, especially today's 'a bit weird' one!
